Guim Tio Zarraluki is a Spanish artists, who hails from Barcelona. His work is a mismatch of abstract portraits in which he likes to alter fashion magazine images by using oil pastels. His color blocking style transforms beautiful girls into strange bug-like figures. His works have been exhibited both in Spanish galleries like Sala Pares, Artevistas, Esther Montoriol and in international ones in Strasbourg, California and Vancouver.
Zarraluki's research stems from his study of the human condition, in which he adds humor, irony and at times some provocation. A reflection he says: that looks at societies taboos, through a visual telescope from television, advertising, and the fashion world.
