Kristin Hoffmann

Starting at the age 4, ethereal renaissance pop songstress and multi-instrumentalist Kristin Hoffmann  began building a prolific career that reads like a lifetime achievement award speech. In addition to stints at major records labels and song placements on hit TV shows like Dawson's Creek and Palmetto Pointe, she has shared stages with The Wallflowers, Fiest, Brandi Carlile and many other musical luminaries. With a strong sense of artistic altruism, she is most passionate about projects that explore music's heading power and allow listeners to tap into their potentials.

With influences ranging from Johann Sebastian Bach to Sigur Ros to Annie Lennox, Kristin Hoffmann makes poised, expressive, and powerful music that penetrates the intellectual and spiritual sides of art. Her forthcoming EP, The Human Compass: New Directions, blends undertones of classical music, angelic vocals harmonies, and electronic percussion into an ethereal Renaissance pop sound.

A perfect example of the records's genre-fusing juxtaposition of the natural and the synthetic, the new single, "Ghosts", contrasts raw, breathy vocal lines with robotic, echoey responses and layers of warm piano tones are pitted against industrial sounds with broken percussion patterns. Look out for the new EP, The Human Compass: New Directions, out in March 2014.
